Abstract
A polysilane composition containing conductor or semiconductor particles useful as a portion of a non-linear optical device.
Claims22
A polysilane composition comprising:
- (a) a polysilane having a repeating unit represented by formula (I) ##STR180## where R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently are selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 24 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 24 carbon atoms, and a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 7 to 24 carbon atoms,
- wherein the weight average molecular weight of said polysilane is 5,000 to 1,000,000;
- and
- (b) particles having a particle size of 10 to 500 .ANG., selected from the group consisting of conductors wherein the conductors comprises one or more metals or metal alloys.
