Abstract
This invention relates to derivatives of Wortmannin and particularly to 11,17 substituted derivatives of Wortmannin. The invention also relates to a method of using these compounds as PI-3-kinase inhibitors and as anti-tumor agents.

A compound of the formula:
- ##STR19## wherein:
- R.sub.1 is ##STR20## or OR.sub.3 ;
- R.sub.2 is ##STR21## or OR.sub.3 ;
- each R.sub.3 individually is hydrogen, arylacyl, C.sub.3 -C.sub.8 acyl or substituted acyl;
- and
- when R.sub.1 is ##STR22## or OH, R.sub.2 is not ##STR23##
