Abstract
Compounds of the Formulae I or II ##STR1## wherein Z and R.sub.1, are as described herein which compounds are muscarinic agonists useful in treating central cholinergic disfunction and pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds.

A compound of formula I or II;
- ##STR12## wherein Z is hydrogen, methyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.10)alkyloxycarbonyl or benzyloxycarbonyl;
- R.sub.1 is ##STR13## wherein R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are hydrogen;
- halogen selected from bromine, chlorine, fluorine and iodine;
- (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyloxy;
- and R.sub.5 is hydrogen or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl;
- or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.
