Abstract
A silver halide photographic emulsion is provided, containing a monomethine-cyanine dye, a trimethine-cyanine dye and a supersensitizer represented by the following Formula [I] or Formula [II]. The cyanine dyes are incorporated in the form of a dispersion of solid particles. ##STR1##
Claims13
A silver halide photographic emulsion containing a monomethine-cyanine dye, a trimethine-cyanine dye, and a supersensitizer represented by the following Formula [I] or Formula [II]:
- ##STR12## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, or R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may be combined with each other to form a ring;
- R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 represent a substituent;
- L.sub.1 and L.sub.2 represent a methine group;
- Z represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a selenium atom, a tellurium atom, --C(R.sub.9) (R.sub.10)-- or --N(R.sub.9)--, in which R.sub.9 and R.sub.10 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, R.sub.9 and R.sub.10 may be combined with each other to form a ring;
- ##STR13## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an unsubstituted vinyl group, an allyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group;
- Z.sub.1 represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a selenium atom, a tellurium atom, --N(R.sub.5)-- or --C(R.sup.6)(R.sup.7)--, in which R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 each have the same definition as R.sup.1 ;
- X.sup.- represent an anion;
- and n is 0 or 1.
A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein at least one of said silver halide emulsion layers contains a monomethine-cyanine dye, a trimethine-cyanine dye, and a supersensitizer represented by the following Formula [I] or Formula [II ]:
- ##STR15## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, or R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may be combined with each other to form a ring;
- R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 represent a substituent;
- L.sub.1 and L.sub.2 represent a methin group;
- Z represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a selenium atom, a tellurium atom, --C(R.sub.9)(R.sub.10)-- or --N(R.sub.9)--, in which R.sub.9 and R.sub.10 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, R.sub.9 and R.sub.10 may be combined with each other to form a ring;
- ##STR16## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, unsubstituted vinyl, allyl, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group;
- Z.sub.1 represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, a selenium atom, a tellurium atom, --N(R.sup.5)-- or --C(R.sup.6)(R.sup.7)--, in which R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 each have the same definition as R.sup.1 ;
- X.sup.- represent an anion;
- and n is 0 or 1.
