Abstract
A method of achieving a superior dispersion of polymeric sulfur comprises mixing the polymeric sulfur while it is in the rubbery state with a diluent, such as rubber, to obtain a uniform dispersion of the sulfur in the diluent.

A method of achieving superior dispersions of insoluble sulfur in rubber which comprises blending a member comprising insoluble sulfur with the rubber while the insoluble sulfur is in a metastable, elastic, unhardened state.
