Abstract
A fuser member having a core and a layer overlying said core. The layer comprises a crosslinked polydiphenylsiloxane-poly(dimethylsiloxane) elastomer having tin oxide particles dispersed therein in a concentration of from 20 to 40 percent of the total volume of the layer.
Claims11
A fuser member comprising a core and a layer overlying said core, said layer comprising:
- a crosslinked polydiphenylsiloxane-poly(dimethylsiloxane) elastomer, said layer having tin oxide particles dispersed therein in a concentration of from 20 to 40 percent of the total volume of said layer, said crosslinked polydiphenylsiloxane-poly(dimethylsiloxane) elastomer having a number average molecular weight of from 400 to 310,000.
A fuser member useful for heat-fixing an electrographic toner to a substrate, said fuser member including a core and a base cushion layer overlying said core,
- said base cushion layer comprising a condensation-crosslinked polydiphenylsiloxane-poly(dimethylsiloxane) elastomer, said base cushion layer having tin oxide particles dispersed therein in a concentration of from 20 to 40 percent of the total volume of the base cushion layer;
- said base cushion layer being more resistant to cyclic stress induced degradation than a base cushion layer comprising condensation-crosslinked polydimethylsiloxane having aluminum oxide particles dispersed therein in a concentration of from 20 to 40 volume percent;
- said condensation-crosslinked polydiphenylsiloxane-poly(dimethylsiloxane) elastomer having a number average molecular weight of from 400 to 310,000.
