Substituted benzoate derivatives

A compound of the formula:

• ##STR32## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 are independently hydrogen;
• lower alkyl optionally substituted by one or more substituent(s) which are the same or different and which are selected from the group consisting of lower alkoxy, halogen, hydroxy, amino, phenyl, naphthyl, and anthryl;
• lower alkoxy optionally substituted by one or more substituent(s) which are the same or different and which are selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl, halogen, hydroxy, amino, and phenyl;
• hydroxy;
• acyloxy;
• or a halogen;
• R.sup.9 is lower alkylamino optionally substituted by one or more substituent(s) which are the same or different and which are selected from the group consisting of phenyl, an amino group of an urethane derivative, and a carboxyl group which may be esterified or amidated;
• E.sup.1 is hydrogen, or an ester residue;
• m is an integer of from 1 to 4;
• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
