Abstract
A separation agent essentially comprises an aliphatic or aromatic ester of a polysaccharide, except for cellulose acetate and an aromatic ester of cellulose. It is useful for separation of various chemical substances, especially optical resolution of optical isomers.
Claims1
A chromatographic separating agent comprising dextran tribenzoate supported on a porous carrier having a particle size range of from 1 micron to 10 millimeter and a pore size of from 10 Angstroms to 100 microns, the amount of dextran tribenzoate to be supported is 1 to 100 wt. % based on the carrier.
