Abstract
A pigment composition which comprises a phthalocyanine pigment, a phthalocyanine derivative (A) of the formula (1), Pc-(SO.sub.3.sup.-+ NR.sub.1 R.sub.2 R.sub.3 R.sub.4).sub.n(1) and at least one compound (B) selected from the class consisting of a compound of the formula (2), (M.sub.1).sub.j X (2) an aliphatic compound containing carboxylic acid alkali metal salt and an aliphatic compound containing carboxylic acid ammonium salt, and which imparts a printing or a coating with excellent gloss and shows excellent fluidity and stability with time when dispersed in a vehicle for a printing ink or a coating composition.
Claims4
A pigment composition comprising a phthalocyanine pigment, a phthalocyanine derivative (A) of the formula (1),
- Pc-(SO.sub.3.sup.-+ NR.sub.1 R.sub.2 R.sub.3 R.sub.4)n (1)
- wherein Pc is a metal-free phthalocyanine or metalophthalocyanine residue or a metal-free phthalocyanine or metalophthalocyanine residue substituted with 1 to 15 chlorine or bromine atoms or with 1 to 15 chlorine and bromine atoms, each of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 is independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a substituted alkyl group, an aryl group, a substituted aryl group or a polyoxyalkylene group, and n is an integer of 1 to 4, and at least one compound (B) selected from the class consisting of a compound of the formula (2),
- (M.sub.1).sub.j X (2)
- wherein M.sub.1 is an alkali metal atom or NH.sub.4, X is CO.sub.3, HCO.sub.3, OH, SO.sub.4, HSO.sub.4, SO.sub.3, HSO.sub.3, PO.sub.4, HPO.sub.4, H.sub.2 PO.sub.4, PHO.sub.3, HPHO.sub.3, H.sub.2 PO.sub.2, NO.sub.3 or NO.sub.2, and j is an integer of 1 to 3.
