Abstract
Heterodimer proteins comprising a soluble .alpha. specificity determining cytokine receptor component and the extracellular domain of a .beta. receptor component function as CNTF and IL-6 antagonsists.
Claims2
An IL-6 antagonist, capable of binding IL-6 to form a nonfunctional complex, comprising:
- a) soluble IL-6R.alpha.;
- and
- b) the extracellular domain of gp130.
A CNTF antagonist, capable of binding CNTF to form a nonfunctional complex, comprising:
- a) soluble CNTFR.alpha.;
- and
- b) the extracellular domain of gp130.
