Abstract
2,3,4,5-Tetrahydro-1H-3-benzazepines having the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is Cl or Br; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are hydrogen, halogen, CF.sup.3, CN, NO.sub.2, or NH.sub.2. The compounds are useful in treatment of certain disorders in the central nervous system.

2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1H-3-benzazepines having the formula I ##STR9## wherein R.sup.1 is Cl or Br;
- R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently are hydrogen, halogen, CF.sub.3, CN, NO.sub.2 or NH.sub.2 and all optical isomers thereof, and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, provided that R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 cannot be hydrogen at the same time.
