Abstract
The present invention provides a biologically pure culture of a novel pathogenic porcine respiratory coronavirus (PRCV) and a vaccine derived therefrom effective against PRCV infection and transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) infection.

A vaccine effective to prevent pathogenic porcine respiratory coronavirus (PRCV) infection or porcine transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) infection, comprising an inactivated or attenuated biologically pure culture of PRCV ATCC 2384, in combination with a physiologically acceptable carrier.
