Abstract
6-[2'-Amino-2',2'-disubstituted-ethylamino]-pyrimidines of the structure: ##STR1## in which X=H, NH.sub.2 or NO.sub.2, which are novel intermediates in the synthesis of quinoid 6,6-disubstituted-dihydro- and 6,6-disubstituted-tetrahydro-pteridines, are claimed.
Claims1
A compound of the formula:
- ##STR65## wherein R.sub.4 represents (1) n-alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms;
- (2) n-alkyl of 2 to 5 carbon atoms substituted with one methyl group;
- (3) n-alkyl of 2 to 6 carbon atoms substituted with 1 or 2 hydrolysis on the 1- or 2-carbon atoms with not more than one hydroxyl on each carbon;
- (4) cycloalkyl of 3 to 6 carbons;
- (5) cyclohexylmethyl or cyclohexylethyl;
- (6) phenyl;
- or
- (7) phenylmethyl, 2-phenylethyl or 3-phenylpropyl.
