Abstract
NO.sub.x removal is accomplished by contacting a NOx-containing stream under reducing conditions with a urea-ammonia-water composition.
Claims10
A process for removing NO.sub.x from a gas stream having a temperature between about 800.degree. C. and about 1000.degree. C. which process comprises injecting into said NO.sub.x -containing gas stream a liquid composition comprising urea, ammonia and water in which composition the mole ratio of urea-to-ammonia is about 0.55, wherein NO.sub.x is reduced in said gas stream.
