Abstract
A sheet supplying apparatus having sheet container for stacking and supporting sheets, and sheet supplying device for feeding out the sheet contained in the sheet container by applying a feeding force to the sheet. Sheet container includes a shiftable intermediate plate on which the sheets are stacked and a plurality of pressurizing members for biasing the intermediate plate toward the sheet supplying device to urge the sheets stacked on the intermediate plate against the sheet supplying device, and each of the pressurizing members being selected in response to the used amount of the sheets stacked on the intermediate plate to apply a biasing force to the intermediate plate.

A sheet supplying apparatus, comprising:
- sheet supporting means for supporting sheets;
- and
- sheet supplying means for feeding out a sheet supported on said sheet supporting means by applying a feeding force to the sheet;
- said sheet supporting means comprising a shiftable sheet support member on which an amount of the sheets are stacked, and pressurizing means for biasing said sheet support member toward said sheet supplying means, said pressurizing means including a plurality of pressure members so disposed that they are selectively used in response to the amount of the sheets stacked on said sheet support member to thereby maintain a pressure between said sheet supplying means and the sheet within a predetermined range for feeding out the sheet.

A sheet supplying apparatus, comprising:
- sheet containing means for containing sheets, said sheet containing means removably mounted onto a body of said apparatus;
- and
- sheet supplying means for feeding out a sheet contained in said sheet containing means by applying a feeding force to the sheet;
- said sheet containing means further comprising a shiftable sheet support member on which the sheets are stacked, and pressurizing means for biasing said sheet support member on which the sheets are stacked toward said sheet supplying means, and
- said pressurizing means further comprising first pressurizing means for continuously biasing said sheet support member, and second pressurizing means capable of being switched between a biasing condition and a non-biasing condition in response to the mounting of said sheet containing means onto said apparatus.

- sheet supplying means for feeding out a sheet supported on said sheet supporting means by applying a feeding force to the sheet;

- said pressurizing means comprising first pressurizing means for continuously biasing said sheet support member, and second pressurizing means capable of being switched between a biasing condition and a non-biasing condition in response to the mounting of said sheet containing means onto said apparatus.
