Abstract
2-amino-5-nitropyridinium salts are provided which are usable in non-linear and electrooptics.
Claims9
2-amino-5-nitropyridinium salts having the formula:
- ##STR5## wherein A.sup.- represents an inorganic anion selected from the group consisting of H.sub.2 PO.sub.4.sup.-, HSO.sub.4.sup.- and H.sub.2 AsO.sub.4.sup.- ;
- and R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, which are identical or different from each other, each represents H or CH.sub.3.
Deuterated 2-amino-5-nitropyridinium salts having the formula:
- ##STR6## wherein A.sup.- represents an anion selected from the group consisting of H.sub.2 PO.sub.4.sup.-, HSO.sub.4.sup.- and H.sub.2 AsO.sub.4.sup.- ;
- and R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, which are identical or different from each other, each represents H or CH.sub.3, and wherein at least one of the hydrogen atoms is replaced by a deuterium atom.
