Abstract
Purification of crude 1,1-difluoroethane (HFA-152a) from vinyl chloride, by bringing into contact with an active carbon.
Claims10
A process for the purification of crude 1,1-difluoroethane by removing vinyl chloride, comprising:
- contacting crude 1,1-difluorethane with an active carbon powder at a temperature from about -15.degree. C. to about 60.degree. C., to adsorb vinyl chloride in said crude 1,1-difluoroethane on said active carbon, and
- separating said vinyl chloride adsorbed on said active carbon from said 1,1-difluoroethane.
