Abstract
This invention relates to a polyester comprising repeating units having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms and R.sup.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms.
Claims14
A polyester comprising repeating units having the structure:
- ##STR10## wherein R.sup.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms and R.sup.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and aryl having 6 to 10 carbon atoms.
A polyester which is prepared from 1,5-bis-(4'-methoxycarbonyl-phenyl)-3-pentanone, terephthalic acid or its esters, and a glycol component.
