Abstract
An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprises a support, a photosensitive layer, and optionally a protective layer. At least one of the photosensitive layer and the protective layer contains a pyrazine derivative represented by the general formula: ##STR1## The electrophotographic photosensitive member is not deteriorated by ozone and nitrogen oxides, and is excellent in durability.
Claims6
An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprising a photosensitive layer which comprises a charge-generating layer laminated to a charge-transporting layer on a support, the charge-transporting layer containing a pyrazine derivative represented by the general formula (1):
- ##STR13## ##STR14## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, or an organic group;
- and at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 is an alkyl group, an allyl group, an aromatic ring group, or a heterocyclic group.
An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprising a photosensitive layer on a support, and a protecting layer formed further thereon, the protecting layer at least containing a pyrazine derivative represented by the general formula (1):
- ##STR15## where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, or an organic group;
- and at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 is an alkyl group, an allyl group, an aromatic ring group, or a heterocyclic group.
