Abstract
Conductive polymers with ionic conductance including a non-aqueous complex of a polyester having the formula ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkylene radical; G is a bivalent group deriving from H --(--O--R.sub.3 --).sub.p --O--R.sub.3 --OH with p=0 or 1-10 and R.sub.3 a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkylene radical; X is CH.sub.2, S or O, and n=5-100; with an ionic compound. The polyesters having formula (I) wherein: X=S; R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --; p=1-10 and n=5-100, are also new.
Claims19
Solid polymeric electrolyte with ionic conductance including a non-aqueous complex of a polymer with an ionic compound, characterized in that the polymer is a polyester having the general formula:
- ##STR4## wherein:
- R.sub.1 and R.sub.2, the same or different, are an alkylene radical, linear or branched, containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms;
- G is a bivalent group which remains after the removal of the chain-end hydroxylic groups from a glycol having the formula
- H--(--O--R.sub.3 --)--.sub.p O--R.sub.3 --OH (II)
- wherein R.sub.3 is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkylene radical, linear or branched;
- p is 0 or an integer between 1 and 10;
- X is CH.sub.2, sulphur or oxygen, and
- n is an integer between 5 and 100;
- with the understanding that when X is CH.sub.2, p is between 1 and 10 and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may be absent.
Polyester of general formula:
- ##STR5## wherein:
- R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --;
- G is a bivalent group which remains after the removal of the chain-end hydroxylic groups from a glycol having the formula
- H--(--O--CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --)--.sub.p --O--CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --OH
- with
- p=an integer between 1 and 10;
- X is sulphur and
- n is an integer between 5 and 100.
