Abstract
A monitor for receiving electrical signals from a living body includes a power supply which is located in a housing for the monitor and a separate acquisition module which acquires signals through one or more electrodes connected to a body. Both data and power are transmitted over the same means between the power supply and the acquisition modules.
Claims5
A monitor for receiving electrical signals from a living body and processing such signals to obtain information relating to a bodily function or organ, said monitor comprising
- a power supply located in a housing of said monitor;
- means for acquiring electrical signals through one or more electrodes connected to the body;
- means for transmitting both data and power over said same means for transmitting between said housing for said power supply and said means for acquiring electrical signals.
A monitor for receiving electrical signals from a living body and processing such signals to obtain information relating to a bodily function or organ, said monitor comprising
- a power supply located in a housing of said monitor;
- means for acquiring electrical signals through one or more electrodes connected to the body;
- means for transmitting both biphase encoded data and power over said same means for transmitting between said housing for said power supply and said means for acquiring electrical signals.
