Abstract
Polyacetals useful as reduced-phosphate or phosphate-free detergent and cleaner additives are obtainable by cationically initiated polyaddition of (a) divinyl ethers and (b) dihydroxy compounds and also, optionally, (c) monohydroxy compounds and have K values of from 8 to 100.
Claims4
Polyacetals obtained by cationically initiated polyaddition of
- (a) divinyl ethers,
- (b) dihydroxy compounds and
- (c) monohydroxy compounds,
- the molar ratio of (a):(b) being from 2:1 to 1.001:1 and the molar ratio of the vinyl ether groups in (a) to the sum total of the hydroxyl groups in (b) and (c) being from 2:1 to 1:1.
