Abstract
Aqueous formulations of an interferon, a granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor or an interleukin are made to have extended storage lifetimes by incorporating methionine, histidine or mixtures thereof.

A method for increasing the storage stability of an aqueous formulation containing a protein component selected from the group consisting of a granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and an interleukin, the method comprising adding a stabilizing amount of methionine, histidine or mixtures thereof to the formulation.
An aqueous formulation containing a protein selected from the group consisting of a granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor and an interleukin, also containing a storage stability-enhancing amount of methionine, histidine or mixtures thereof.
