Sulfo group-containing disazo compounds containing substituted amino-1,3,5-triazinil or- chloropyrimidyl

A compound of the formula ##STR57## or a salt thereof each cation of which is independently a non-chromophoric cation, or a mixture of such compounds or salts;

• D is ##STR58## wherein R.sub.4 is hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 alkoxy or halo, R.sub.1 is hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl or C.sub.2-4 hydroxyalkyl,
• R.sub.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 alkoxy, (C.sub.1-4 alkyl)carbonylamino, (C.sub.1-4 alkoxy)carbonylamino or --NHCONH.sub.2,
• R.sub.3 is hydrogen, halo, C.sub.1-4 alkyl or C.sub.1-4 alkoxy, and
• X is ##STR59## wherein R.sub.5 is chloro, hydroxy or --NHCN,
• R.sub.6 is hydrogen, chloro or cyano,
• R.sub.7 is hydrogen;
• C.sub.1-12 alkyl;
• C.sub.2-8 alkyl monosubstituted or disubstituted by hydroxy;
• phenyl;
• phenyl(C.sub.1-4 alkyl) or cyclohexyl, and
• R.sub.8 is C.sub.4-20 alkyl;
• C.sub.4-20 alkyl monosubstituted or disubstituted by hydroxy;
• C.sub.4-20 alkyl monosubstituted by halo, phenyl, carboxy or C.sub.1-12 alkoxy;
• --A--O--C.sub.1-12 alkyl;
• phenyl;
• phenyl substituted by one to three substituents selected from halo, C.sub.1-16 alkyl, C.sub.2-6 hydroxyalkyl, C.sub.1-6 alkoxy, phenoxy and acetamido;
• phenyl(C.sub.1-3 alkyl);
• phenyl(C.sub.1-3 alkyl) the phenyl ring of which is substituted by one to three substituents selected from halo, C.sub.1-16 alkyl, C.sub.2-6 hydroxyalkyl, C.sub.1-6 alkoxy, phenoxy and acetamido;
• cyclohexyl or cyclohexyl substituted by one to three C.sub.1-4 alkyl groups, wherein A is linear or branched C.sub.2-3 alkylene, with the proviso that R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 together contain at least 8 carbon atoms, or
• --NR.sub.7 R.sub.8 is ##STR60##
