## Abstract

A compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is --CH(CH.sub.3).sub.2 or --C(CH.sub.3).sub.3 or a physiologically acceptable salt or optical isomer thereof useful for the treatment of particularly different lung diseases.

A compound of the formula ##STR14## wherein R is --CH(CH.sub.3).sub.2 or --C(CH.sub.3).sub.3 or a physiologically acceptable salt or optical isomer thereof.

A compound according to claim 1 wherein R is --CH(CH.sub.3).sub.2.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

A compound according to claim 1 wherein the optical isomer is the D-isomer.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1, 2, 3)

A pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of oxidative-stress-related and inflammatory lung diseases in mammals comprising as the active ingredient an effective amount of a compound according to any of claims 1, 2 or 3 or a physiologically acceptable salt or an optical isomer thereof, together with a pharmaceutically acceptable.
