## Abstract

This disclosure relates to a sucrose inducible expression system. The sucrose inducible expression system comprises a novel plasmid vector having a sacY gene of the sacS locus which binds to a transcription terminator to relieve transcription termination when introduced into a B. subtilis host microorganism.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A plasmid vector for expressing a gene encoding a desired polypeptide in a B. subtilis host microorganism, said vector being selected from the group consisting of pA51S and pAMB12T5S.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A B. subtilis strain transformed with a vector according to claim 1.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

A B. subtilis culture capable of producing a polypeptide by expression of a gene coding therefor, wherein the expression is directed by a plasmid vector according to claim 1.
