Claims7
A method for the prevention, control or amelioration of a disease caused by a phytopathogenic fungus which comprises contacting said fungus with a fungicidally effective amount of a compound having the structural formula ##STR9## wherein X and Y are each independently hydrogen, halogen, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl;
- m and n are each independently an integer of 0, 1, 2 or 3;
- A is O or S;
- R, R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 hydroxyalkyl, nitro, NR.sub.6 R.sub.7 or SO.sub.3 R.sub.8, and when taken together, R and R.sub.1 or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may form a ring in which RR.sub.1 or R.sub.1 R.sub.2 is represented by the structure:
- --CH.dbd.CH--CH.dbd.CH--;
- R.sub.4 is hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl;
- R.sub.5 is hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl, NR.sub.6 R.sub.7, SO.sub.3 R.sub.8, hydroxy, oxo or phenyl optionally substituted with one or more halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 haloalkoxy groups, provided that when R.sub.5 is oxo, R.sub.4 is not present;
- W is (CH.sub.2).sub.p ;
- p is an integer of 0 or 1;
- and
- R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 are each independently hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl.
A method for the protection of a plant, plant seed or tuber from fungal infestation and disease which comprises applying to the plant, plant seed or tuber, or to the soil or water in which it is growing a fungicidally effective amount of a compound having the structural formula ##STR10## wherein X and Y are each independently hydrogen, halogen, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl;
- m and n are each independently an integer of 0, 1, 2 or 3;
- A is O or S;
- R, R.sub.1 , R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 hydroxyalkyl, nitro, NR.sub.6 R.sub.7 or SO.sub.3 R.sub.8, and when taken together, R and R.sub.1 or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 may form a ring in which RR.sub.1 or R.sub.1 R.sub.2 is represented by the structure:
- --CH.dbd.CH--CH.dbd.CH--;
- R.sub.4 is hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl;
- R.sub.5 is hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl, NR.sub.6 R.sub.7, SO.sub.3 R.sub.8, hydroxy, oxo or phenyl optionally substituted with one or more halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 haloalkoxy groups, provided that when R.sub.5 is oxo, R.sub.4 is not present;
- W is (CH.sub.2).sub.p ;
- p is an integer of 0 or 1;
- and
- R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 are each independently hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl.
