1-[N-(1-carboethoxy-3-phenylpropyl)-(S)-alanyl]octahydrocyclopenta [b]pyrrole-2(S)-carboxylic acid.

The compound named 1-[N-(1-carboxy-3-phenylpropyl)-(S)-alanyl]octahydrocyclopenta [b]pyrrole-2(S)-carboxylic acid.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

A method for reducing blood pressure in hypertensive mammals which comprises administering to such a mammal a composition comprising an effective amount of a compound of claim 1 together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier therefor.
