## Abstract

According to the invention, there is provided an inbred corn line, designated PHK74. This invention thus relates to the plants and seeds of inbred corn line PHK74 and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing the inbred line PHK74 with itself or with another corn plant. This invention further relates to hybrid corn seeds and plants produced by crossing the inbred line PHK74 with another corn line or plant.

## Claims

### Claim 1

Inbred corn seed designated PHK74 and having ATCC Accession No. 75557.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A corn plant produced by the seed of claim 1.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

A corn plant having all the physiological and morphological characteristics of the plant of claim 2.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

A corn plant having all the physiological and morphological characteristics of the plant of claim 2, further having cytoplasmic factors conferring male sterility.

### Claim 5 (depends on 2)

A tissue culture of regenerable cells of a plant according to claim 2 wherein the tissue regenerates plants having all the morphological and physiological characteristics of PHK74.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

Tissue culture of a plant according to claim 5, the tissue culture selected from the group consisting of leaves, pollen, embryos, roots, root tips, anthers, silk, flowers, kernels, ears, cobs, husks, stalks, cells and protoplasts thereof.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

A corn plant regenerated from the tissue culture of claim 5.

### Claim 8 (depends on 2)

An F.sub.1 hybrid seed and plant grown therefrom produced by crossing an inbred corn plant according to claim 2 with another, different corn plant and having a genotype one half of which is the genotype of the inbred corn plant of claim 2.
