## Abstract

Lysine and arginine salts of thionaphthene-2-carboxylic acid (TNCA) are disclosed. These compounds are useful as treatments for osteoporosis and exhibit an increased water solubility.

### Claim 1

A water-soluble compound selected from the group consisting of the lysine and arginine salts of thionapthene-2-carboxylic acid (TNCA).

A compound as defined in claim 1 wherein the salt is a lysine salt.

A compound as defined in claim 1 wherein the salt is an arginine salt.
