Abstract
This invention relates to herbicidal aryl triazoles having the structure ##STR1## wherein A is phenyl or thienyl, Q is oxygen or sulfur and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are as defined within, compositions containing these compounds and methods of controlling weeds with these compounds.
Claims2
A compound of the formula ##STR11## wherein A is phenyl or substituted phenyl with one or two substituents independently selected front (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkyl, halogen, methoxy or trifluoromethyl;
- Q is oxygen or sulfur;
- and
- (a) R.sup.1 is (C.sub.3 -C.sub.6)alkenyl and R.sup.2 is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)alkyl, (C.sub.3 -C.sub.6)alkynyl, monohalo (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, monohalo (C.sub.3 -C.sub.6)alkynyl, or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkoxy (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl;
- or
- (b) R.sup.1 is (C.sub.1 -C.sub.2)alkyl, (C.sub.3 -C.sub.6)alkynyl, monohalo (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl, monohalo (C.sub.3 -C.sub.6)alkynyl, or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkoxy (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl;
- and R.sup.2 is (C.sub.3 -C.sub.6)alkenyl;
- or
- (c) R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each independently selected from (C.sub.3 -C.sub.6)alkenyls.
A compound of the formula ##STR12## wherein A is thienyl or substituted thienyl with one or two substituents independently selected from (C.sub.1 -C.sub.3)alkyl, halogen, methoxy or trifluoromethyl;
- Q is oxygen or sulfur;
- and
- R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently selected from (C.sub.3 -C.sub.6)alkenyl, (C.sub.3 -C.sub.6)alkynyl;
- monohalo(C.sub.3 -C.sub.6)alkynyl or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkoxy (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl.
