Abstract
A glass composition and method of use having unique crystallization and crystal remelt properties is disclosed. The glass composition consists essentially by weight percent on an oxide basis: about 40-65% Ag.sub.2 O about 15-35% V.sub.2 O.sub.5 about 0-30% PbO.sub.2 about 0-20% TeO.sub.2 The present invention also contemplates a unique, essentially resin-free organic system that utilizes the novel glass composition described above.
Claims18
A crystallizing glass composition which consists essentially of, by weight on an oxide basis, about:
- about 47% Ag.sub.2 O
- about 22% V.sub.2 O.sub.5
- about 9% TeO.sub.2
- about 22% PbO.sub.2.
A crystallizing glass composition which consists essentially of, by weight on an oxide basis:
- about 40-65% Ag.sub.2 O
- about 15-35% V.sub.2 O.sub.5
- and about 5-20% TeO.sub.2.
A crystallizing glass composition comprising, by weight on an oxide basis:
- about 40-65%
- about 15-35% V.sub.2 O.sub.5
- and about 5-25% TeO.sub.2.
A crystallizing glass composition which consists essentially of, by weight n an oxide basis:
- about 40-65% Ag.sub.2 O
- about 15-35% V.sub.2 O.sub.5
- and about 5-20% of at least one of a group consisting of TeO.sub.2, PbO.sub.2 and Pb.sub.3 O.sub.4.
A crystallizing glass composition which consists essentially of, by weight on an oxide basis:
- about 45-65% Ag.sub.2 O
- about 15-35% V.sub.2 O.sub.5
- and about 5-20% of at least one of a group consisting of TeO.sub.2, PbO, PbO.sub.2 and Pb.sub.3 O.sub.4.
A crystallizing glass composition which consists essentially of, by weight on an oxide basis:
- about 40-65% Ag.sub.2 O
- about 15-35% V.sub.2 O.sub.5
- about 0-20% TeO.sub.2
- and about 0-30% of a group consisting of PbO.sub.2 and Pb.sub.3 O.sub.4.
A crystallizing glass composition which consists essentially of, by weight on an oxide basis:
- about 40-50% Ag.sub.2 O
- about 15-25% V.sub.2 O.sub.5
- about 5-25% TeO.sub.2
- and about 5-30% of a group consisting of PbO.sub.2 and Pb.sub.3 O.sub.4.
A crystallizing glass composition comprising, by weight on an oxide basis:
- about 40-50% Ag.sub.2 O
- about 15-25% V.sub.2 O.sub.5
- about 5-25% TeO.sub.2
- and about 5-30% of a group consisting of PbO.sub.2 and Pb.sub.3 O.sub.4.
