Abstract
A free-radical radiation curable composition comprising: a) at least one compound containing from one to about six vinyl ether groups; and b) at least one product obtainable by the reaction of a half-ester of maleic and/or fumaric acid with an epoxy functionalized compound, wherein the ratio of vinyl ether groups to maleate and/or fumarate groups is in the range of about 5:1 to about 1:5.

A free-radical radiation curable composition comprising:
- a) at least one compound containing from one to about six vinyl ether groups;
- and
- b) at least one maleate or fumarate terminated product obtained by the reaction of a half-ester of maleic acid and/or fumaric acid with a polyepoxy functionalized compound,
- wherein the ratio of vinyl ether groups to maleate and/or fumarate groups is in the range of about 2:1 to about 1:2.

A free-radical radiation curable composition comprising:
- a) at least one vinyl ether compound of the formula:
- R.sup.1 --(O--CH.dbd.CHR.sup.2).sub.m
- where m is an integer from 1 to 6;
- R.sup.1 is the residue of an organic alcohol or polyol with a molecular weight of from 56 to 2,000;
- and R.sup.2 is hydrogen or methyl;
- b) at least one product obtained by the reaction of a maleate or fumurate half-ester of the formula:
- ##STR17## where x is 0 to 5;
- y is 0 to 3;
- and
- R is H or methyl with a polyepoxy functionalized compound,
- wherein the ratio of vinyl ether groups to maleate and/or fumarate groups is in the range of about 2:1 to about 1:2.
