Abstract
A thermoplastic norbornene based molded article which can be used as a substrate for liquid crystal display having an excellent performance; said substrate having a specified surface roughness of 0.05 .mu.m or less, and a liquid crystal display produced therefrom.
Claims13
A thermoplastic saturated norbornene resin formed article which has a surface wherein the surface roughness is 0.05 .mu.mn or less in terms of the maximum height, R.sub.max, over an extent which can enclose a circle of 1 cm or more in diameter.
A thermoplastic saturated norbornene resin for article which has a surface wherein the surface roughness is 0.05 .mu.m or less in terms of the maximum height, R.sub.max, over an extent which can enclose a circle of 10 cm or more in diameter.
A substrate for liquid crystal display comprising a thermoplastic saturated norbornene resin having a surface wherein the surface roughness is 0.05 .mu.m or less in terms of the maximum height, R.sub.max, over an extent which can enclose a circle of 1 cm or more in diameter.
