The enhancement of the antitumor action of tumor necrosis factor by lithium salts is described.

In a product for the treatment of malignant tumors in humans and their associated phenomena, which product comprises a combination product for simultaneous or sequential use and which product includes a tumor necrosis factor, the improvement wherein the combination product includes a lithium salt.
