Abstract
An improved method for detecting antibodies is disclosed. The method involves the steps of a) mixing the specimen with a diluent comprising superoxide dismutase, and b) contacting the diluted specimen with at least one recombinant antigen expressed as a fusion protein with superoxide dismutase.
Claims9
In a method for detecting antibodies in a specimen which comprises contacting a diluted specimen with at least one recombinant antigen expressed as a fusion protein with superoxide dismutase, the improvement comprising mixing said specimen with a diluent comprising superoxide dismutase.
In a method for detecting anti-HCV antibodies in a specimen which comprises contacting a diluted specimen with at least one recombinant antigen expressed as a fusion protein with superoxide dismutase, the improvement comprising mixing said specimen with a diluent comprising superoxide dismutase.
