Abstract
A hot melt adhesive including syndiotactic polypropylene having a polymer chain of at least 80% racemic dyads and having a melting point of about 100.degree. C. to 180.degree. C.
Claims21
A hot melt adhesive comprising tackifier and syndiotactic propylene homopolymer or copolymer, said homopolymer or the propylene segment of the copolymer comprising at least about 80% racemic dyads and said homopolymer or copolymer having a melting point of from 100.degree. C. to 180.degree. C.
A hot melt adhesive produced by a process comprising combining tackifier with syndiotactic propylene homopolymer or copolymer, said homopolymer or the propylene segment of the copolymer comprising at least about 80% racemix dyads and said homopolymer or copolymer further having a melting point of from 100.degree. to 180.degree. C. wherein the hot melt adhesive is characterized by an open time of 5 minutes or more.
