Abstract
Substituted pyrazoles such as ##STR1## and their pharmaceutically suitable salts are useful as antihypertensive agents and for treatment of congestive heart failure.

A compound selected from the group consisting of 3-n-butyl-5-methoxymethyl-1-[(2'-carboxybiphenyl-4-yl)methyl] pyrazole, 3-methoxymethyl-5-n-butyl-1-[(2'-carboxybiphenyl-4-yl)methyl] pyrazole, 3-methoxymethyl-5-(1-buten-1-yl)-1-[(2'-carboxybiphenyl-4-yl)methyl] pyrazole, 3-methoxymethyl-5-n-propyl-1-[(2'-carboxybiphenyl-4-yl)methyl] pyrazole or 5-methoxymethyl-3-n-propyl-1-[2'-carboxybiphenyl-4-yl)methyl] pyrazole;
- or a pharmaceutical salt thereof.
