Claims10
A process for the preparation of an aromatic polycarbonate in the molten state comprising reacting at least one aromatic dihydroxy compound with a diaryl carbonate in the presence of a catalyst conforming to
- M.sup.+ F.sup.-.sub.x
- wherein M.sup.+ is a member selected from the group consisting of Na.sup.+,K.sup.+,Rb.sup.+,Cs.sup.+,Ca.sup.2+, Ba.sup.2+,Sr.sup.2+, a quarternary ammonium ion and a quaternary phosphonium ion and where x is the valence of said member.
A process for the preparation of an aromatic polycarbonate in the molten state comprising reacting at least one aromatic dihydroxy compound with a diaryl carbonate in the presence of a catalyst conforming to
- M.sup.+ F.sub.x.sup.-
- wherein M.sup.+ is selected from the group consisting of N(CH.sub.3).sub.4.sup.+ and P(C.sub.6 H.sub.5).sub.4.sup.+.
A process for the preparation of an aromatic polycarbonate in the molten state comprising reacting at least one aromatic dihydroxy compound with a diaryl carbonate in the presence of a catalyst conforming to
- M.sup.+ F.sub.x.sup.-
- wherein M.sup.+ is N(CH.sub.3).sub.4.sup.+.
A process for the preparation of an aromatic polycarbonate in the molten state comprising reacting at least one aromatic dihydroxy compound with a diaryl carbonate in the presence of a catalyst conforming to
- M.sup.+ F.sup.-.sub.x
- wherein M.sup.+ is P(C.sub.6 H.sub.5).sub.4.sup.+.
