Abstract
Aqueous emulsions are disclosed containing organosilicon compounds for the impregnation of inorganic materials, in particular building materials, containing alkoxysilanes and silane surfactants. The emulsions comprise 1-80% by weight of one alkoxy silane, ##STR1## X.dbd.H,cl,Br, I, NH.sub.2, SCN, CN, N.sub.3, NHR, NR, NR.sub.3, --S.sub.x --, aryl or alkenyl a.dbd.0 or 1 b.dbd.1 or 2 and, 1-30% of an organosilicon compound ##STR2##
Claims5
An aqueous organosilicon emulsion suitable for the impregnation of inorganic materials, comprising:
- (a) from 1 to 80% by weight of at least one alkoxysilane corresponding to the formula ##STR26## in which R.sub.1 =C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl,
- R.sub.3 =C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 - alkyl, straight chain or branched, or phenyl,
- x=H, Cl, Br, I, NH.sub.2, SCN, CN, N.sub.3, NHR, NR.sub.2, .sym.NR.sub.3, --S.sub.x --, aryl or alkenyl,
- a=0 or 1,
- b=1 or 2 and
- x and c stand for an integer from 1 to 6,
- (b) from 1 to 30% by weight of an organosilicon compound corresponding to the formula ##STR27## in which R.sub.2 and R.sub.3, which may be identical or different, denote C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 -alkyl, straight chain or branched, or phenyl,
- R.sub.4 stands for C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkoxy, ##STR28## wherein s=3-50 and t=3-25, R.sub.5 denotes H, C.sub.1 -C.sub.20 -alkyl, C.sub.2 -C.sub.36 -alkenyl,
- C.sub.5 -C.sub.8 -cycloaklyl or C.sub.7 -C.sub.36 -aralkyl
- when p=0 and r=0, OR.sub.5 stands for:
- --(OCH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2).sub.s --(CH.sub.2 --CHO).sub.t (CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 O).sub.5 H;
- m=0, 1 or 2 and
- n=0, 1 or 2 on condition that when p=0, then (m+n)=1 or 2 and when P.noteq.0then (m+n)= 0, 1 or 2;
- p=0, 1, 2, or 3 and
- r=an integer with a value from 0 to 50, and
- (c) water for the balance up to 100% by weight.
