Abstract
The process is characterised according to the invention by the application to the metal surface, especially sheet metal, of a layer of a solution comprising a block copolymer made up of at least two blocks, the first consisting of a unit based on a siloxane monomer and the second consisting of a unit based on acrylic or vinyl monomers.
Claims17
A process for imparting protection against corrosion for a minimum period of two months to a metal surface and for decreasing the friction coefficient of said metal surface, comprising coating said metal surface with a layer of a solution comprising a solvent and a block copolymer made up of at least two blocks, the first block being based on a siloxane monomer and the second block consisting essentially of monomers selected from the group consisting of acrylic and vinyl monomers.
