Abstract
Processes for the preparation of tetracyano-1,4-hydroquinone and its conversion to tetracyano-1,4-benzoquinone via a disilver salt are disclosed.

A complex comprising a 1:1 electron-transfer complex of tetracyano-1,4-benzoquinone with a ferrocene, substituted ferrocene, tetrachalcogenfulvalene or substituted tetrachalcogenfulvalene.
The complex which is 1:1 decamethylcobaltocene and tetracyano-1,4-benzoquinone.
The complex which is 2:1 decamethylcobaltocene and tetracyano-1,4-benzoquinone.
