Abstract
Pyridone transfer dyes have the formula ##STR1## where Q.sup.1 is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, methyl or a substituted amino radical, Q.sup.2 is hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine or Q.sup.1 and Q.sup.2 together with the carbon atoms to which they are attached form an aromatic carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring, x is a heterocyclic radical, a carboxylic or carboxamide radical or substituted amino radical and K is an aromatic radical.
