Abstract
A process for preparing substantially pure enantiomers of formula (I) ##STR1## where the * represents a chiral center, x is 0 or 1, in exo-, endo- or a mixture of exo- and endo- forms; and R is hydrogen, alkyl or aralkyl, via diastereomers of formula (IIA) or (IIB): ##STR2##
Claims7
A substantially pure enantiomer of formula (I):
- ##STR11## in exo-, endo- or a mixture of exo- and endo- forms;
- wherein x is 0 to 1, and CO.sub.2 R represents a carboxylic acid group, salt or reactive derivative thereof.
The compound according to claim or 2, wherein R is C.sub.1-4 alkyl.
