Abstract
A method for treating or preventing a Pneumocystis carinii infection in a mammal by administering a certain naphthoquinone compound or physiologically acceptable salts thereof.
Claims4
A method of treating in a mammal Pneumocystis carinii infections which comprises administering to said mammal suffering with P. carinii an effective treatment amount of a naphthoquinone of the general formula:
- ##STR8## wherein R.sup.10 is an alkyl group of from 1 to 10 carbon atoms and m is 0 to 1;
- and physiologically acceptable salts thereof.
