A 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexanol derivative, characterized in that it has the general formula ##STR5## in which:
- n=0,1,2,3,4 or 5 and
- R.sub.1 is H and R.sub.2 is a 4-benzoyl group in which the benzoyl ring can be substituted by one or more of the following moieties:
- Cl--, F--, Br--, CF.sub.3 --, CH.sub.3 --, and CH.sub.3 O--.
