Abstract
The present invention provides a non-contact IC card having a microcomputer. The microcomputer includes a CPU, a resonance circuit which receives data bits through an electromagnetic wave, an input circuit which detects the data signal, and a decoding circuit which supplies a pulse of predetermined length to the CPU when the input circuit detects the data signal. The detection of the data signal also causes a circuit to close a switch using a reception inhibit signal of a half bit's width. The reception inhibit signal rapidly attenuates the oscillations in a resonance circuit, making it ready to receive the next data bit.
Claims6
A microcomputer receiving an external signal through a resonance circuit comprising:
- a CPU for processing data;
- a resonance circuit for receiving the external signal and generating an input signal in response;
- an input circuit connected to said resonance circuit for detecting the input signal;
- a demodulating circuit connected to said input circuit for demodulating the input signal detected by said input circuit and outputting a demodulated signal of a predetermined length to said CPU when said input circuit detects the input signal;
- an active attenuation circuit connected to said resonance circuit for actively attenuating oscillation of electrical signals in said resonance circuit when said resonance circuit receives an external data signal;
- and
- an output circuit connected to said CPU and to said resonance circuit for outputting to said resonance circuit a transmit signal generated by said CPU.
A microcomputer receiving an external signal through a resonance circuit comprising:
- a CPU for processing data;
- a resonance circuit for receiving a first electromagnetic signal and generating an input signal having a first duration in response and for receiving a transmit signal having a second duration and generating a second electromagnetic signal in response;
- an input circuit connected to said resonance circuit for detecting when the input signal and the transmit signal voltage exceed a reference voltage and for outputting a reception inhibit signal, responsive to the input signal and to the transmit signal, having a fixed pulse duration substantially equal to half of the respective durations of the input signal and the transmit signal, respectively;
- an output circuit connected to said CPU and to said resonance circuit for outputting to said resonance circuit a transmit signal generated by said CPU;
- a demodulating circuit connected to said input circuit for demodulating the input signal detected by said input circuit and outputting a demodulated signal of a predetermined length to said CPU when said input circuit detects the input signal;
- and
- an active attenuation circuit, responsive to the reception inhibit signal and connected to said resonance circuit, for attenuating oscillation of electrical signals in said resonance circuit when said resonance circuit is receiving one of the first electromagnetic signal and the transmit signal and for feeding back one of the input signal and the transmit signal with inverted phase to said resonance circuit when the one of the input signal and the transmit signal respectively has a negative voltage with respect to a reference voltage.
