5'-amine substituted adenosine analogs as immunosuppressants

A method of effecting immunosuppression in a patient in need thereof comprising administering to said patient an effective immunosuppressive amount of a compound of the formula ##STR8## wherein R represents H, methyl or ethyl and

• Q represents a radical of formulae Ia to If depicted as follows:
• ##STR9## wherein R.sub.1 is H or F,
• n is an integer 1 or 2,
• V.sub.1 is H or methyl,
• V.sub.2 is H or COOH, and
• W, X, Y and Z are each independently H, F, Cl or Br;
• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
