Abstract
The disclosed invention relates to novel aromatic polyamide compositions with a fullerene component and fibers therefrom which have improved torsional strength and a process for preparing said fibers.
Claims9
An aromatic polyamide composition consisting essentially of an aromatic polyamide, and from about 0.1 to about 20% by weight, based on the weight of the polyamide, of a fullerene compound.
A fiber comprised of an aromatic polyamide, and from about 0.1 to about 20% by weight, based on the weight of the polyamide, of a fullerene compound.
A fiber with improved torsional modulus comprised of an aromatic polyamide, and from about 0.1 to about 20% by weight, based on the weight of the polyamide, of a fullerene compound.
