Abstract
A reaction product is prepared from a polycarboxylic acid group containing polymeric material and a polyazetidinol of a specific structural formula. The polyazetidinol can also be formulated into curable compositions both as film forming vehicle or alternatively as an additive to improve mar and humidity resistance.

A reaction product of a polycarboxylic acid group containing polymeric material and a polyazetidinol represented by the following structural formula:
- ##STR2## wherein R is alkylene, arylene, aralkylene, cycloalkylene or a heteroatom substituted derivative thereof, and n is an integer of from 2 to 4.
A curable composition comprising a base neutralized acid functional water dispersible polymer and a polyazetidinol represented by the following structural formula:
- ##STR3## wherein R is alkylene, arylene, aralkylene, cycloalkylene or a heteroatom substituted derivative thereof and n is an integer of from 2 to 4.
A curable composition comprising a base neutralized acid functional water soluble polymer and a polyazetidinol represented by the following structural formula:
- ##STR4## wherein R is alkylene, arylene, aralkylene, cycloalkylene or a heteroatom substituted derivative thereof and n is an integer of from 2 to 4.
An aqueous coating composition comprising a waterborne film forming vehicle, an aminoplast crosslinking agent and an additive amount of a polyazetidinol represented by the following structural formula:
- ##STR5## wherein R is alkylene, arylene, aralkylene, cycloalkylene or a heteroatom substituted derivative thereof and n is an integer of from 2 to 4.
